Illuminent is at it again! Sponsoring last Month’s ‘Swing for a Cure’ charity golf event was so much fun and so rewarding, we had to keep the ball rolling. Helping people is the core of what we do here at Illuminent. Needless to say, we’re honored and grateful for the opportunity to support local non-profits creating positive change in our communities.
In seeking out our next mission, the Illuminent Team got busy researching local causes and sponsorship opportunities. After much consideration, we are proud to announce that we will be sponsoring Mike Tyson’s Charity Golf Event benefiting Standing United. The tournament will be held on Friday, August 2nd, 2019 at Monarch Beach Golf Links in Dana Point, California. If you are interested in attending, head over to the event registration page. Standing United is a non-profit created to lend a hand to those struggling with addiction and homelessness. Inspired by personal experience, Danny Lansdale and Tyler Hauser founded Standing United; an organization through which they could offer others the same kind of support that helped save their lives. As their mission states, “Standing United is made up of professionals and numerous volunteers who work tirelessly to guide people out of their darkest moments and into the light of a new day and a new life,” (Source).
If you’re stoked on Standing United’s story, there are a handful of ways to get involved. Run with the help of countless community members willing to donate their time, The Standing United Team is always looking for volunteers who share “the same level of compassion as the founders do,” (Source). The team is constantly in need of “professional services, event volunteers, counselors and vocational trainings etc.” (Source).
